Byrnes Freshmen Academy is a little old,
And in the classes it gets real cold.
The basketball team isn’t so good,
And I isn’t even gonna talk about the food.
And every time Greer and Byrnes have a game,
Byrnes always puts Greer down to shame.

Mother of Two

Creating a house out of mud and sticks,
Who would’ve known this was the year of 1936.
All the poor families out there who didn’t have a clue,
Especially the picture in our hallway of the mother of two.

I don’t think any of us can understand this feeling called fear,
Until you’re starved for 3 days and death is so near.
When one kid is screaming and the other is upset,
Because the hunger is so great and your up to your neck in debt.

Selling tires for money just to get a bite,
You can see it on their faces, fear it will never be alright.
The photographer did a good job I must say,
For capturing this photo on this sad depressing day.
